The Katandra West Anglican Friendship Group meets regularly and is involved in a variety of activities and fundraising within the parish
Anointing the Sick
The clergy are on call for anointing in extremis at any time, day or night. Special services in the chapel or home are held by arrangement.
Servers Guild
This is a small group of people who serve by roster at the altar, at both the 09h30am Eucharists. We always on the lookout for new members of the Guild.
Visiting and Pastoral Care
There is an active group of parishioners who, with the clergy, meet regularly to plan pastoral care visits and to encourage each other in this vital work.
Women’s Guild, St Augustine’s
There is an active Women’s Guild, at St Augustine’s which meets each month for lively fellowship, edification, work and play. It plays a vital and creative part in the life of the Parish and in support of members and the wider parish. New members are joyfully welcomed. The Guild called the Sunset Groups, meets in the afternoons on the third Thursday of every month at 1.30pm.
Education for Ministry
There is a vibrant EfM group that has been going for quite a few years and we encourage men and women to join this relational and educational gathering on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Wednesdays of the Month and 5th, if there is one. Contact Victoria Heenan at (03)5825 1550 for more details about enrolment. The course normally starts each year towards the end of January.
Friendship Group
The Friendship Group meets on the third Tuesday of every month in the Narthex at 2.00pm. The aim is to foster fellowship and friendship and to share in a variety of interesting pastimes and activities for both men and men and women. New members are most welcome.
Garden Group
The gardens at St Augustine’s are the talk of the town and a very active garden group maintains them lovingly and imaginatively. There are monthly working bees on the last Saturday of each month. Contact Beryl Bonfitto (03) 5821 7840

A Parish Catering Group provides an excellent service when called upon to do so.

Church Flowers
The flowers in St Augustine’s are a delight and glory each Sunday. A team of talented folk is rostered to provide this lovely service on behalf of all. If you are able and interested to help either with arranging or the provision of flowers please contact Ella Egan (03) 5821 2078
Parish Council
The Parish Council meets every third Thursday of the month at 2:30 pm, to oversee the financial, pastoral and outreach progress of the parish and to see to the maintenance of the Parish buildings. The Council is made up of members elected at the Annual Meeting during November to which all parishioners are invited.
Ecumenism
The clergy are members of the local Ministers’ Association and participate as fully as time and other commitments permit. These meetings happens on the 1st Tuesday between February and November.
Help for those in Need
St Augustine’s supplies food and sustenance to those in need from a well stocked and supported food cupboard
Study
Bible and Study Groups are held regularly. For further information contact the Rector or Parish Office
Prayer
There is daily prayer happening at the parish. For urgently needed prayer please contact the clergy or the Parish Office.
House Blessing
Anyone moving into a new or different house may ask for a service of House Blessing
Visiting
The clergy visit the local hospital, residential aged care facilities and homes as well as the needy and parishioners. They do so with the assistance of the Pastoral Care Group.
