Christ Church Murchison
Murchison is a riverside town famous for the breaking up of the Murchison Meteorite in Sept. 1969, raining fragments onto the town. The Murchison Heritage Centre is well known throughout the area and some of our parishioners have been honored for their involvement with it. The townspeople are active in promoting their assets and weekends are busy with tourists.
Christ Church Murchison was built in 1884 and is heritage-listed. One of its major features is three stained glass windows in the sanctuary designed by William Montgomery.
There is a wonderful community and ecumenical spirit in the town.
